Will’n in Weslaco is the Rio Grande Valley’s first and only annual Shakespeare festival. Every spring, Weslaco citizens, businesses, and public institutions celebrate one play by the Immortal Bard.
In 2020, our festival was founded with The Life and Death of Julius Caesar. Similarly, we aspire to be both popular and great. The timeless beauty, complexity, and inspiration of the Bard’s art lives with a different play being celebrated each year.
To entertain and uplift the City of Weslaco and the Rio Grande Valley by uniting local business, cultural and educational institutions, artists, craftsmen, and citizens with an annual Spring Shakespeare Festival.
With art, acting, film, craft beer (both an art and a science), and academic lectures, our community festival is designed to enliven, enrich, engage, and educate through the excellent entertainment and eternal ideas of William Shakespeare.
