Artwork celebrating A Midsummer Night's Dream will be on display (and for sale) for the month of April. Art submissions will be received at the Weslaco Museum from March 26th -30th.
We invite you to start planning your artistic tribute to A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Artists are encouraged to be creative, but submissions must celebrate an aspect of this year’s play (e.g., themes, scenes, images, characters, lines, etc.). On the exhibition’s opening night (April 6th), attendees will be able to vote for their favorite submission. This year we will have three categories for the artists:
Example submitted by UT-RGV student
Used for WIW 2023 flyer
Example “Unfix His Earthbound Root,” Macbeth, IV.1 submitted by independent artist, 2023
Original work covers other mediums as well (E.g. drawing, sculpture, etc.)
Example based on Henry Fuseli’s 1783 painting, The Three Witches.
Submitted by independent artist, 2023
